How is this different from local garden centers, design build firms or online services?

Garden centers focus on selling a lot of expensive plants through their discounted designs
Only provide “minor edits” to their presented plans
Design/build firms focus on expansive hardscaping projects
You don’t get the design without committing to their construction costs
Online design companies are twice the price and require you to provide everything for the site survey. They also pass off the final design to an unknown contractor.

SERVICES

Residential Landscape Design:

Design fee is based on the hours needed to complete:
- Initial client meeting
- Site measuring and photography
- Full color computer-drawn master plan with plant list
- Preliminary design presentation conference with up to two revisions
- Final design presentation and both printed and digital copies
- Coordination of one installation estimate
- On-site supervision during installation
- Post-planting care information
My fee starts at $475 and examples of projects within that range include updating the landscaping around your front entry, or a planting plan for a small patio or corner bed area.
Design fees for larger projects and hardscapes vary, and are based on scope, complexity, size of yard and your specific requirements. My fee is independent of installation costs.

DIY Consultation:

Do you have questions about your plants? I can walk your yard with you and help suggest maintenance and plant replacements or additions to your existing space.
$75/ hour.
Prior to appointment, please prepare any gardening questions, concerns and have pictures of the yard at different times of the year.
Please note, I do not provide on-site drawings or designs during a DIY.

Project Management:

Ready to bring the plan to life? I work with several local contractors I trust to install the design or I can work with your preferred contractor to manage the implementation. Fee varies.

Turning Leaf Landscapes does not offer lawn mowing, clean-up or maintenance services.
